NEW YORK -- Knicks star forward Kristaps Porzingis left New York's Wednesday night game against the Miami Heat three minutes into the first quarter with a right ankle sprain.
Porzingis' appeared to roll the ankle after his foot was stepped on. He stayed on the floor for several minutes before being helped to the locker room.
The Knicks got good news after X-rays were negative, and the team announced he could return to the game.
Porzingis entered play Wednesday averaging 27 points per game (fourth best in NBA) and 2.2 blocks per game (No. 1 in league).
