Two-time All-Star David Lee announced his retirement on Sunday after 12 NBA seasons.

The 34-year-old forward made the announcement on his Instagram page.

Lee got engaged to tennis star Caroline Wozniacki earlier this month.

"An epic night celebrating my retirement with my friends and family! Thank you to my amazing fiancee @carowozniacki for planning the surprise!" Lee wrote underneath a group photo.

Lee averaged 13.5 points and 8.8 rebounds in 829 career NBA games.

He played his first five seasons with the New York Knicks and was an All-Star in 2009-10 when he averaged 20.2 points and 11.7 rebounds. He spent the following five seasons with the Golden State Warriors, making the All-Star team again when he averaged 18.5 points and 11.1 boards in 2012-13.

Lee was a member of Golden State team that defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2015 NBA Finals.

Over his final two seasons, he spent time with the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs. He did not play this season.

Lee played four seasons of college basketball at Florida and was the 30th overall selection of the 2005 NBA Draft.
