New York Knicks star forward Kristaps Porzingis will sit out Wednesday night's game against the Orlando Magic with a slight left ankle sprain and a right elbow bruise.

Porzingis, who led the Knicks to victory in six of the previous seven games, is averaging 30 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks while shooting 51 percent from the field.

Porzingis, the reigning Eastern Conference Player of the Week, was injured in Tuesday night's victory over the Charlotte Hornets, according to Coach Jeff Hornacek. He missed a practice Saturday with a sore ankle, but played in New York victories Sunday and Tuesday.
