Kobe Bryant: Los Angeles Lakers icon compares daughter Gigi to WNBA star Diana Taurasi

Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant is grooming his daughter to be a basketball star. He posted another video of Gianna on Sunday night.

"Gigi working on that @DianaTaurasi stroke #wristwork #wnbafinals," Bryant wrote on social media. "We r hype for the rematch!"

The Los Angeles Sparks and Minnesota Lynx are meeting in the WNBA Finals for the second consecutive post season.

Game 1 is at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Williams Arena in Minneapolis.

Taurasi's Phoenix Mercury squad lost 89-87 to the Sparks on Sunday in Phoenix. Like Bryant, Taurasi has a feel for the big game. The 2009 WNBA MVP is also a two-time WNBA Finals MVP and has three WNBA titles.

In Bryant's video, Gigi checks the ball with her dad before the two face up. Bryant bodies the girl until she pushes him off with her shoulder. She then steps back and drains a long distance shot. On the next possession, she throws a shot fake at her dad before driving around him and hitting a layup.

Bryant's home gym features a wall filled with insane memorabilia. In the video he shot, you can see several of his jerseys as well as those - presumably signed and game-worn - jerseys from Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neil, James Worthy and Jamaal Wilkes.

In May, Bryant posted a video of Gigi on her 11th birthday. In that video, Gigi drains a turnaround 3-pointer.

Bryant, 39, has two other daughters, 14-year-old Natalia and baby Bianka. Bianka was born in December.

The Lakers icon took his oldest daughters to a Sparks and Mercury game in June to watch Taurasi, a day before Father's Day.

"Her [Taurasi's] work ethic and her body of work. It's extremely consistent and she works extremely hard and she takes no crap."

"Because it's Father's Day, Gianna would normally come with me. Because it's father's day Natalia came with me too. So I'm winning today," Bryant said at the Sparks game in June.
