Aug. 19 (UPI) -- NBA superstar Kevin Durant unleashed his inner savage for a comeback after getting roasted by a middle school teacher.

The 2017 NBA Finals MVP has been active on social media all offseason, coming off of the high of winning his first title with the Golden State Warriors. Earlier this week it was talking about the possibility of a LeBron James trade, now he's standing up for himself against one of his many haters.

Reddit user lazycollegedue posted a photo to the site on Thursday to share a class handout. The user claimed that it was given to his brother at school.

The shared portion of the document features a photo of Durant and a photo of Michael Jordan.

"DON'T BE A...Kevin Durant," the paper says. "KD left the OKC Thunder last summer after falling to the Golden State Warriorsin the Western Conference Finals. Following the end of the season, he decided it was in his best interest to join the very same team that had just knocked him out of the playoffs. Don't be like KD. Don't take the easy way out. Things like cheating, plagiarizing, and copying your friends homework may not seem like a big deal now but they are building habits that can significantly hinder you later in life. Additionally, always strive to finish what you've started. Half-finished homework is unfinished homework. Don't try to turn in an assignment if you have not done what is necessary and expected."

My brother got this handout about behavior at school today.

Then the teacher cautioned students to 'be like Mike.'

"DO BE A...Michael Jordan," the handout said. "MJ! The GOAT! 6 championships. 4 MVPs. Yadda yadda. The greatest thing this man ever did? Saving the Looney Tunes from a lifetime of servitude to an alien race. Did MJ take the easy way out? Did he ever back down from a challenge? NO! Be like Mike. Learning a new language is a challenging thing and parts of this year are going to be."

Lazycollegedude said his brother received the paper on the first day of school during eighth grade Spanish class. He later said that the school is in Tulsa. The sour grapes feeling from the Oklahoma school isn't a shock. Durant did spend eight seasons in the state while playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder before jetting off for the Warriors last summer in free agency.

Durant responded to a link about the story with a to-the-point clap-back.

"Whoever did this should be fired and thrown in jail," he tweeted Friday.

The eight-time All-Star and former NBA MVP also rejoined Instagram this week.
