Aug. 15 (UPI) -- NBA superstars LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony took to the basketball court in New York for a pickup game.

Trainer Chris Brickley posted several videos of the game on Tuesday. The ballers played at Life Time Athletic at Sky in New York City.

"Simply for the love of the game‼ M7 @academy.basketball BlackOut Session 1," Brickley wrote on Instagram.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith, New York Knicks forward Lance Thomas, Oklahoma City Thunder center Enes Kanter, Dahntay Jones, Chris Smith, Hamidou Diallo, Nick Richards, Marshall Plumlee and several other hoopers participated.

The videos are gospel for NBA fans. They show James facing up with Anthony, several high-flying dunks, slick ball handling and smooth jump shots.

In July, Cavaliers star point guard Kyrie Irving joined Anthony for a pickup game in Los Angeles. That game also featured Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jimmy Butler.

Brickley also posted those videos. The trainer was previously employed as a player development coordinator for the Knicks.

Other NBA stars, such as James Harden and DeMar DeRozan, have participated in the Drew League this offseason.

The hardwood meeting was a long time coming for James. Last week, he tweeted about needing "some run."

"Where y'all hooping at?? Off-season please hurry up and end, I have basketball Jones," James said.

Jamal Crawford, Dwyane Wade, Dorell Wright and several other players responded.

James said he took a plane to New York just to play ball. Now he's headed out west.

"Flew to NY just to do so then I'm going back back to Cali Cali for more run," James tweeted.
