Chicago Bulls icons Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen team up at hoops camp

By Alex Butler

July 31 (UPI) -- Two of the greatest teammates in NBA history took the court together again when Michael Jordan joined Scottie Pippen this weekend in California.

Jordan and Pippen haven't shared a court as teammates since 1998. They were both members of the Chicago Bulls from the 1987 season through the 1992 season and again from 1994 through 1997.

Bay Area HQ shot a video of the interaction, which featured Jordan and Pippen shooting around with the young campers.

"So you guys know the game right?" Jordan asked. "Scottie gets to pick someone from the crowd. I get to pick someone from the crowd. We shoot as a team, whoever we pick. Whoever scores the most points wins a pair of shoes."

The Hall of Famers showed that they still have smooth strokes from range. Jordan also kissed a few off the glass for good measure.

The camp is located at Tropicana Gardens in Goleta, Calif.

Tuition for the Michael Jordan Flight School includes basketball instruction, meals, a MJFS poster, camp T-shirt, color team photo with Jordan, personal autograph, certificate of participation, player evaluation card, Jordan gift bag, medical care, supervision and more, according to the official website.

The camp allows for 825 campers per session and costs $1,755 for an overnight boys camper for sessions 1 and 2.

"The Michael Jordan Flight School offers boys and girls the opportunity to learn the same principles that allowed me to become the player that I was," Jordan says on the camp's website. "Teamed up with my awesome coaching staff, join us for 5 fun-filled days of learning and competition, where I hope to meet, work, and create lifelong memories with you. Come fly with me for our 22nd year!"

Applicants for the camp must be between 7 and 18 years old.

Jordan and Pippen never won an NBA title without being teammates. They teamed up for six rings from 1990 through 1998.
