July 24 (UPI) -- Crew Ainge dunked right in the face of his NBA executive father Danny Ainge as part of the #drivebydunkchallenge.

The younger Ainge recently returned from a two-year LDS church mission. When he arrived in his driveway, he took a few dribbles before facing off against the Boston Celtics' general manager.

Crew did a double crossover before putting his body into his 58-year-old dad. He took a jab-step to get Ainge off balance, before pushing off with his right hand. He then picked up the ball and dunked over his dad.

"Baptism from my freshly returned missionary @UncleCR3W #drivebydunkchallenge," Danny Ainge tweeted Sunday.

After the video went viral, Crew Ainge talked about his dad's character.

"My dad really doesn't care what anybody thinks about him. That's why he's great at what he does & also why he's trending in a body bag. #respect," Crew Ainge tweeted.

Ainge had a decorated 14 year NBA career, suiting up for eight seasons with the Celtics, Sacramento Kings, Portalnd Trail Blazers and Phoenix Suns. He was an All-Star and won two titles during that tenure.

He also coached the Suns for four seasons before entering the front office.

Crew is an incoming freshman at Utah State. The 5-foot-11 point guard is Danny Ainge's youngest son. He went to Kimball Union Academy in New Hampshire, earning second-team All-NEPSAC honors. He also played AAU hoops. Crew scored 35 points and had a triple-double during his senior season at Kimball.

"Crew's basketball knowledge is well beyond his years and he has been exposed to the game at a high level in his young life," Utah State coach Tim Duryea told the team website. "He can really run a team from the point guard position and he is excellent in the pick-and-roll game at making plays for his teammates or himself. Aggie fans will love Crew's passion and competitiveness."

Utah State opens the season on Nov. 11 against UC Irvine.

One of Danny Ainge's former Celtics players, Walter McCarty, commented on Crew's recent jam, tweeting: "Haha is hilarious." Celtics assistant coach Jamie Young kept it simple, tweeting: "Ok crew," with a meme.

The Ainges aren't the only Celtics taking part in the internet's #drivebydunkchallenge sensation. Jaylen Brown posted a video Saturday, showing himself getting out of his car and then dunking on a stranger's driveway hoop.

"Got'em," Brown wrote. "#DriveByDunkChallenge."
