July 7 (UPI) -- Andre Roberson got the opposite of the reaction he was hoping for from his Oklahoma City Thunder teammates Thursday when feeling the heat from giving a low restaurant tip.

The Thunder forward was called out on Thursday by a waiter on Twitter. The waiter wrote: "Get paid 30 million for 3 years and tips this!!! You're trash."

The photo showed a $487.13 bill, with Roberson leaving a $13.97 tip. Roberson wrote that the total came out to $500, but his math is wrong. To total $500, Roberson would have had to tip $12.87.

"Shouldn't have had to tip you it was just a bottle at a bar...there was no service...now I can see if it was a club! You Reaching bro," Roberson responded to the tweet.

While many in the Twitter-verse sided with the waiter, several users backed Roberson.

He tried to transition away from the Twitter hate by tagging in teammates Enes Kanter and Steven Adams, but things did not go as planned.

"In other news! Where is @Enes_Kanter & @RealStevenAdams these days hope your doing good brodies," Roberson tweeted.

"We just out here tipping more than $13," Adams wrote Friday in a Twitter comeback.

Roberson, 25, agreed to a three-year, $30 million deal with the team on Thursday.

Adams and Roberson entered the league together as both were first round picks by the Thunder in the 2013 NBA Draft. Kanter joined the Thunder during the 2014 season. Last season, Roberson averaged a career-high 6.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in 79 starts.
