The next play features Atlanta Hawks star Paul Millsap balling against the Cleveland Cavaliers. In that highlight, Millsap gets control of the ball and hits a fadeaway jumper to send the game into overtime.

Paul Pierce might be a member of the Los Angeles Clippers, but he was the nominee for the Boston Celtics' highlight. That footage showed Pierce drilling a 3-pointer against the Celtics in his final game at TD Garden.

A Marvin Williams dunk was the fan favorite for the Charlotte Hornets. On that play, Williams drives to the rim and throws down with authority against the Orlando Magic.

Miami Heat guard Dion Waiters had one of the plays of the season in 2016. He pulled it off against the world champion Golden State Warriors. That play happened after Kevin Durant put in a dunk to tie the game at 102-102. Waiters dribbled down the court and faced Klay Thompson. He released the ball several feet behind the 3-point line, dousing it in for a 3-point victory.

T.J. McConnell had the Philadelphia 76ers' highlight of the year. That play happened after Kristaps Porziņģis attempted a game-winning trey for the New York Knicks. The air-balled shot was picked up under the basket by the opposition. The Sixers drove down the court, before McConnell faced up Carmelo Anthony. He stepped in toward the rim, before curling off for a fadeaway chance. McConnell drilled the shot at the buzzer, giving the Sixers a 98-97 win.

DeMar Derozan victimized the Knicks again for the Toronto Raptors' play of the year. On that shot, Derozan dribbled out the clock, before stepping up and hitting a go-ahead jumper.

The best play from the Cleveland Cavaliers came from a predictable source: LeBron James. That play took place against the Washington Wizards. Kevin Love threw a long inbound pass the full length of the court. James hit a fade away 3-pointer off of the glass to send the game to overtime.

A fantastic showing from Dirk Nowitzki was the Dallas Mavericks' highlight, while the Wizards' John Wall posted his team's nominee. Wall's shot was a go-ahead 3-pointer in the Eastern Conference playoffs against the Celtics.
