June 14 (UPI) -- Former UCLA basketball star Lonzo Ball joked about his dad recently in a new commercial for Foot Locker.

The commercial was Father's Day themed. It featured several star prospects, talking about their stellar relationships with their fathers.

"With Father's Day and the draft so close together, Foot Locker asked us to reflect on everything dads do for us on our journeys to the NBA," several of the prospects in the commercial said in the introduction for the one minute spot.

"Dads are special," former Florida State star Jonathan Isaac said. "So many memories."

"All of those games of one-on-one in the driveway where he let me win," former Kentucky guard De'Aaron Fox said.

"Just never missing a game," former Duke forward Jayson Tatum said.

Then the shot cuts to Lonzo.

"Of course there is that big day, when your dad berates your high school coach in front of an entire crowd, for not getting your enough touches," Ball said.

"...Or that special moment when your dad sits you down and tells you where you are going to college," Ball said. "Copyright your name to make it part of a family lifestyle brand."

"Went on First Take, and shouted back-and-forth with Stephen A. Smith, about how you are already better than the reigning league MVP."

"All of those interviews from the stands during college games. The public spats with the all-time greats. Sound bite after sound bite to the national media. And then tells 29 out of 30 teams to not bother drafting you.

Ball and his father appeared Monday on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The NBA Draft is set for 4 p.m. on June 22.

During their discussion with Kimmel, LaVar dropped several dad jokes. The duo also discussed how Lonzo said he would only workout for the Los Angeles Lakers.

LaVar confirmed his previous claim that he could beat Michael Jordan in a game of one-on-one.

Washington PG Markelle Fultz is projected as the No. 1 overall pick, going to the Boston Celtics. Ball is expected to go to the Lakers at No. 2. Fox, Tatum and Isaac are currently projected as top-6 picks.
