Big Baller LaVar Ball bricks $7,000 shot

May 30 (UPI) -- LaVar Ball's attempt to answer a challenge from Ice Cube was met with a bricked 3-point shot.

The rapper challenged Ball to a 4-point shot last week. Ball responded to the challenge on Tuesday.

"From the boss himself, @icecube. If @Lavar Ball can hit 1 BIG3 4-point-shot, Cube will personally buy 10 pairs of #BigBallerBrand sneakers. That's 30 feet. #4pointchallenge Let's go," Ice Cube wrote on social media last week.

Ice Cube proceeded to launch a half court shot and sink it clean.

Ball decided to go without a caption for his shot response. He dribbled the ball once in his driveway before a brief introduction.

"Cube," Ball said on social media. "What up boy? West Coast boy. The Triple-Bs. We're gonna accept that challenge man. And if I make this shot before you make it, you gotta buy my whole travel ball team, which is 14 people, the ZO2s. Let's do it like that."

Ball then fires up a shot, without showing the hoop. He says "it's still pretty," but you can hear the ball clank against the rim and hit the ground.

"But it's on you, Cube," Ball said.

The challenge was an interesting one from Ball, who has said in the past that "if you can't afford the ZO2s, you're not a big baller."

The ZO2s retail for $495. That means 14 pairs of Lonzo Ball's signature shoes would set you back about $7,000.
