Dallas Mavericks guard Devin Harris was fined $25,000 for aggressively pursuing a game official and failing to leave the court in a timely manner following his ejection, the NBA announced Friday.

The incident, for which Harris was assessed two quick technical fouls and ejected, occurred with 9:08 remaining in the second quarter of the Mavericks' 121-118 loss to the Pelicans on Wednesday night at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

Harris angrily protested calls made by official Ben Taylor. Harris received his first technical after he protested Taylor's decision to whistle him for a personal foul when he collided with Pelicans guard Jordan Crawford.

Harris then had to be restrained by teammates during a tirade as he advanced toward Taylor, with the second technical triggering his ejection.

"I've never seen him that upset," said Dallas coach Rick Carlisle, who also was called for a technical foul after Harris' ejection.
