MIAMI -- The Miami Heat lost starting shooting guard Dion Waiters to a left ankle injury in the second quarter of Friday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves

With 3:24 left in the session, Waiters drove to the rim and landed on the foot of a Minnesota defender. Waiters was fouled on the play, but he was ruled out for the rest of the game after the Heat brought in Willie Reed to shoot the free throw.
