Center Andrew Bogut was waived by the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, four days after he was acquired in a trade.
The 76ers obtained Bogut in a Thursday deal with the Dallas Mavericks that sent Nerlens Noel to the Mavericks in exchange for Bogut, Justin Anderson and a protected 2017 first-round draft pick.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are the most likely team to sign Bogut, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, although it is not a certainty. The Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics also might try to sign the 7-foot free agent.
Cleveland, which has a payroll of nearly $130 million, can only offer Bogut a prorated portion of the veteran's minimum salary of $1.55 million.
The 32-year-old Bogut, who is in his 12th NBA season, has played in just 26 games this seasons, including 21 starts. He is averaging 3.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 22.4 minutes per game.
He has not played in a game since Feb. 15 against Detroit. That was his only game appearance since Jan. 29.
