Feb. 22 (UPI) -- As Thursday's NBA trade deadline gets closer, fans are getting giddy about who will join their favorite franchise.

But the Atlanta Hawks don't want any part of trade rumors.

The franchise said so on its official Twitter account Tuesday.

"BREAKING TRADE NEWS:...the people who run team accounts don't make trades, so don't @ us with every rumor," the Hawks tweeted.

The Philadelphia Eagles, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, Utah Jazz, and other sports personalities commented on the tweet.

The NBA trade deadline is set for 3 p.m.
