HOUSTON -- James Harden finished with his ninth 40-point game of the season as Houston turned an early offensive burst into a dismantling of Phoenix.

Despite suffering an ankle injury that caused his delayed return to action in the second quarter, Harden finished with 40 points, six rebounds and eight assists in just 29 minutes. Backcourt mate Patrick Beverley added 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Devon Booker scored 18 points for the Suns, who lost for the ninth time in 11 games. T.J. Warren added 14 and Alex Len had 13 points and eight rebounds before fouling out.

Reserve Bismack Biyombo led the Magic with 15 points, a tell-tale sign of how difficult it was for Orlando to generate offense. Evan Fournier (14 points) and C.J. Watson (10 points) were the only other Magic players to score in double figures.
