The Philadelphia 76ers, who have an overabundance of big men, have been shopping Jahlil Okafor recently, and they may have found a trade partner in the New Orleans Pelicans, multiple media outlets reported Monday.

Sources told ESPN.com that the Sixers and Pelicans are in advanced talks Monday in an attempt to complete the trade.

Philadelphia wants a future first-round pick in exchange for Okafor, who was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2015 draft.

The Pelicans have mentioned sending center Alexis Ajinca and a future first-round pick to the Sixers, although the deal is not finalized.

Okafor is averaging 11.4 points and 4.8 rebounds this season in 34 games, including 19 starts. Last season, he averaged 17.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in 53 games, including 48 starts.

Philadelphia has more big men than it can put on the court. Joel Embiid and Dario Saric are having good rookie seasons for the 76ers, and the team also has Nerlens Noel.
