CLEVELAND, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Delivering a championship to Cleveland has its perks.
So when LeBron James asked for an ice cream truck outside of Quicken Loans Arena and Progressive Field, that's exactly what he got.
James, who led the Cleveland Cavaliers to the city's first title in 52 years in June, mentioned the request to Cleveland.com's Chris Fedor after a recent practice.
"I don't know, having an ice cream truck outside of both arenas at the same time as well -- the icing on the cake," James told Fedor Thursday. "It's great. We get to host the World Series and we get our rings on the same night at the same time. If we had a retractable roof it would be probably the loudest we ever heard, so it's pretty special."
On Monday, Blue Bunny responded with a tweet featuring an ice cream semi truck.
"Hey Cleveland, @KingJames asked for an ice cream truck to make tomorrow even more fun. Free ice cream is coming – see you soon! #WonForAll," the company tweeted.
The cold treats will be available for anyone in the area Tuesday, when the Cavaliers receive championship rings and the Indians host Game 1 of the World Series against the Chicago Cubs.
