RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Tony Parker might be the most decorated Olympic basketball player not wearing a USA jersey in Rio de Janeiro.

On Wednesday he showed why.

The longtime San Antonio Spurs guard corralled a loose ball with 34 seconds remaining in France's matchup against Serbia. He then did a crossover dribble before drilling a fade-away jump shot from the left corner.

Parker's shot put France on top 76-75. Serbia nearly made a 3-point attempt at the buzzer, but the French held on to win.

France led by 16 points in the first quarter but faced a seven-point deficit in the fourth quarter before coming back.

Parker scored six points and had two assists and two steals in the victory. France's Nando de Colo led all scorers with 22 points in the victory. Boris Diaw had 11 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists for France.
