WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y., June 22 (UPI) -- Even Odell Beckham Jr.'s softball swing has swagger.
Beckham joined punter Brad Wing's celebrity softball game Monday at Dutchess Stadium in Wappingers Falls, New York. During the game, the New York Giants superstar wide receiver stepped up to the plate and did what he does best: perform and entertain.
Beckham stood behind the batters box before running to home plate, Happy Gilmore style, and swinging at an incoming pitch. He smacked the ball deep over the left field fence, the crowd roared, and he flipped his bat in celebration.
The event benefited Ryan McElroy's Children Cancer Foundation in Pawling, New York. Rookie Eli Apple, Landon Collins, and former Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress also participated in the event.
