MIAMI, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- The Miami Heat and Houston Rockets are discussing a deal involving a Dwight Howard for Hassan Whiteside trade, according to the New York Daily News.
"Dwight Howard could be moved by Thursday's trade deadline. Miami is talking with Houston about a deal that would include Hassan Whiteside," Frank Isola tweeted.
Howard, 30, could be an unrestricted free agent this summer. The big-man is averaging 14.6 points per game this season, his lowest output since his rookie year. Howard is also averaging 12 rebounds per game for the Rockets.
Whiteside, 26 will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. He is averaging 12.2 points, 11 rebounds, and a league-high 3.9 blocks per game this season.

Whiteside is making $981,348 this season, while Howard is making $22,359,374 and has a player option for $23,282,467 next season.
