Aug. 17 (UPI) -- The Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs will meet in MLB's second edition of the Field of Dreams game in Dyersville, Iowa.
Sources told the Cincinnati Enquirer, NBC Chicago and the Des Moines Register on Monday that the Reds and Cubs will meet Aug. 11 on the field MLB built on the set of the 1989 movie.
The Chicago White Sox beat the New York Yankees 9-8 in the first edition of the game Thursday in Dyersville. White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson won the game with a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Seven Yankees and White Sox players combined to hit home runs into the cornfield beyond the outfield wall. Field of Dreams actors Kevin Costner and Dwier Brown were among the 7,832 fans in attendance.

The Cubs and Reds are scheduled for an off day Aug. 11 of next season. They are then scheduled to meet for two games Aug. 12 and 13 at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.
The Black Sox scandal from 1919 was a central theme in Field of Dreams. The Reds beat the White Sox that year in a best-of-nine World Series amid accusations of White Sox players taking bribes from gamblers in exchange for poor play.
The Reds (65-55) beat the Cubs (52-69) 14-5 Monday in Cincinnati. They meet for the second game of the National League Central division series at 7:10 p.m. EDT Tuesday at Great American Ball Park.
