May 28 (UPI) -- Boston Red Sox star Mookie Betts showed off his fielding ability with a full-extension diving catch during a win against the Cleveland Indians. Betts' brilliant grab came in the top of the fifth inning during the 12-5 win on Monday at Fenway Park in Boston. Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis was at-bat during the sequence.

Boston and Cleveland were tied 3-3 when Kipnis stepped up to the plate. The veteran infielder fell behind in the count 1-2 before eyeing a fastball from Red Sox starter Rick Porcello.
Kipnis smacked the offering to right field. The line drive was headed toward an empty patch of grass and appeared to be destined for a single, but Betts had other ideas.
The right fielder sprinted to his right before diving on the ground. Betts lifted up his gloved left hand and snagged the ball as it was about to hit the ground. Porcello tipped his cap to his teammate.
Jake Bauers doubled in the next at-bat, but Porcello escaped the inning by getting Roberto Perez to pop out and Mike Freeman to ground out.
Betts began the bottom of the fifth frame with a leadoff single. He came home on a Rafael Devers double in the next at-bat, giving Boston the lead. Xander Bogaerts extended the lead with an RBI double. Jackie Bradley Jr. gave Boston a 6-3 lead with another double, before Sandy Leon smacked a three-run homer.
The Red Sox added three runs down the stretch while the Indians scored twice in the seventh frame to make the score final.
Betts was 2-for-5 with two runs scored, an RBI and two strikeouts in the win. He is hitting .294 on the season. J.D. Martinez homered twice in the victory.
The Red Sox host the Indians at 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday in Boston.
