May 23 (UPI) -- New York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres left Baltimore play-by-play announcer Gary Thorne speechless as the slugger continued to torment the Orioles this season.

Entering Wednesday night's game at Camden Yards, Torres had belted eight of his 10 home runs this season while playing against the Orioles. In the third inning, he hit another bomb off O's starting pitcher Dan Straily.

Torres ripped his second home run of the game, and 10th versus the Orioles, in the fifth inning, leaving Thorne at a loss for words.

In 11 games against the Orioles this season, Torres has 10 of his 12 home runs. He has four multi-homer games this season, all coming against Baltimore. He is batting .465, with a whopping 1.763 OPS, against the Orioles.

Torres' 10 home runs versus the team are only two behind of the record shared by three players: Lou Gehrig (1931), Hank Greenberg (1946) and Gus Zernial (1951). The three sluggers batted 12 homers against the franchise in a single season, which was known as the St. Louis Browns at that time.

The Yankees defeated the Orioles 7-5 on Wednesday. The clubs finish their four-game set Thursday. New York has won all three games in the series.
