May 15 (UPI) -- The Atlanta Braves are expected to promote top prospect Austin Riley from Triple-A Gwinnett on Wednesday, according to MLB.com.
Riley, the Braves' first-round pick in 2015, is expected to replace outfielder Ender Inciarte on the active roster. Inciarte left Tuesday's loss to the Cardinals with lower back tightness.
MLB.com currently ranks Riley as the Braves' No. 4 prospect.
Riley, 22, hit .299 with 15 home runs and 39 RBIs in 37 games with Gwinnettthis year. He has 10 home runs in May.
Primarily a third baseman, Riley started playing the outfield last week. He has started four of his last six games in left field.
Ronald Acuña Jr. is expected to play center field with Inciarte out.
Atlanta enters Wednesday's game with a 21-21 record.
