Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Six-time All-Star Nelson Cruz is headed to the Minnesota Twins.

A source told MLB.com on Thursday that Cruz and the club have agreed on a one-year contract with a club option for 2020.

Sources told ESPN and Yahoo Sports that the deal is worth $14 million guaranteed in the first year. The club option is worth $12 million with a $300,000 buyout.

The American League Central franchise has yet to confirm the deal, which is pending a physical.

Cruz, 38, hit .256 with 37 home runs and 97 RBIs in 144 games last season for the Seattle Mariners, making the American League All-Star team. The 14-year veteran hit .288 with 39 home runs and an American League high 119 RBIs during the 2017 season with Seattle.

Cruz led baseball with 40 home runs during his 2014 campaign with the Baltimore Orioles. The outfielder and designated hitter has also suited up for the Milwaukee Brewers and Texas Rangers. He was the 2011 ALCS MVP while with the Rangers.

Cruz owns a .274 batting average and has 360 home runs during his decorated Major League Baseball tenure.
