Dec. 25 (UPI) -- Bryce Harper fueled the rumor mill by liking an Instagram post about signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Major League Baseball's biggest free agent of the offseason has yet to sign with a new squad after wrapping up his 2018 campaign with the Washington Nationals.

The MLB Instagram account posted a photo of Harper last weekend, with the words: "Are the Dodgers the favorites for Bryce" written over it.

"They did just get rid of a couple outfielders," the caption said on the photo, which has more than 127,000 likes, including Harper's.

The account was referencing the Dodgers' recent trade. Los Angeles sent Yasiel Puig, Matt Kemp, Alex Wood and Kyle Farmer to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for Homer Bailey and prospects Josiah Gray and Jeter Downs.

Sources told the Washington Post in November that Harper turned down a $300 million offer from the Nationals. The six-time All-Star and former National League MVP hit .249 with 34 home runs and 100 RBIs in 159 games last season for the Nationals. Harper also led the league with 130 walks in 2018.
