Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Los Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen said he is doing fine after having corrective heart surgery.

Jansen provided the health update with a video Monday on Twitter.

"Thank you for your good thoughts, kind messages and prayers," Jansen wrote for the caption on the social media posts.

Jansen, 31, is expected to be ready for Opening Day. He had an atrial fibrillation episode in August while in Denver. After missing games in August, Jansen returned for the regular season before appearing in the national League Division Series, the National League Championship Series and the World Series.

"Guys, I'm fine," Jansen said from his hospital bed. "Anastesia is finally out of my system, so I'm doing good. Enjoying the Christmas spirit. Will see you guys soon ... 2019. Stronger than ever."

The three-time All-Star posted a 3.01 ERA and had 38 saves in 69 games this season for the Dodgers. Jansen led the National League with 41 saves in 2017.

"Today, Kenley Jansen underwent an ablation procedure with Dr. Koonlawee Nademanee in Los Angeles," the Dodgers said in a statement. "The procedure went as expected and Jansen is resting comfortably in the hospital. The club anticipates Jansen will be ready for Spring Training and available on Opening Day."
