June 23 (UPI) -- Kansas City Royals outfielder Rosell Herrera stole a home run from Alex Bregman in a 1-0 win against the Houston Astros.
Herrera pulled off the game-changing play in the eighth inning of the victory Friday at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. The game was scoreless at the time.
Royals reliever Justin Grimm faced Bregman in the first exchange of the bottom of the inning. He threw in a ball before getting Bregman on an 80.2 mph curveball for a called strike. He then gassed in a 93.4 mph fastball.
Bregman belted the high heat deep to right field. Herrera tracked the ball as it carried toward the seats. He smoothly threw his gloved left hand in the air as he neared the warning track and snagged the baseball. He flew through the air while making the grab, before smacking into the wall.
Bregman tipped his batting helmet to Herrera as he rounded first base, giving him praise for the great play.
But that wasn't the only great play on the night for Herrera.
The Royals right fielder also provided the only run support of the game. He smacked a 3-1 fastball to center field for an RBI triple in the top of the ninth inning for the game-winning run.
Herrera went 2-for-5 on the day with an RBI and two strikeouts.
