By Alex Butler

May 28 (UPI) -- Texas Rangers prospect Eric Jenkins posted a Minor League Baseball catch of the year nominee recently, catching the ball while flipping over a fence.

Jenkins made the grab during the Down East Wood Ducks' 11-4 win against the Frederick Keys on Sunday at Grainger Stadium in Kinston, N.C.

Keys left fielder Cole Billingsley stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded in the fourth inning. He took a ball before fouling off the second pitch of the at-bat. Billingsley then hit Emerson Martinez's third offering into foul territory down the left field line.

Jenkins gave chase, staring at the ball as it went toward the fence. He sprinted toward the barrier before making the catch and jumping directly into it. He grabbed the fence with his right hand before making impact and flipping over into the grass on the other side.

Jenkins threw the ball back into play after making the out. Wilson Garcia tagged up and scored from third base on the play.

The Wood Ducks got out of the inning in the next at-bat when Chris Clare grounded out to third baseman Brendon Davis.
