Atlanta Braves: Former No. 1 pick Dansby Swanson sent to Triple-A

Former No. 1 overall pick Dansby Swanson was sent to Triple-A Gwinnett by the Atlanta Braves on Thursday.

Swanson has a .213 batting average with six home runs and 35 RBIs this season. He has only three hits in 25 at-bats since the All-Star brea.

Right-hander Aaron Blair was also optioned to Gwinnett.

Swanson, the No. 1 overall pick in 2015 by the Diamondbacks, was acquired along with Blair and outfielder Ender Inciarte in the trade that sent right-hander Shelby Miller to Arizona.
