July 8 (UPI) -- Miami native Pitbull and DJ Irie will perform at the 2017 T-Mobile Home Run Derby Monday at Marlins Park in the Magic City. Major League Baseball announced the performers Saturday afternoon.
Armando Christian Perez, also known as Pitbull, is affectionately nicknamed "Mr. 305" because of his South Florida origins.
"Now we're really in Miami," the official All-Star Game Twitter account tweeted Saturday.
Pitbull's performance will come before the slugfest.
Warner Bros. artist Bebe Rexha will perform the National Anthem at Tuesday's main event, the 2017 MLB All-Star Game presented by MasterCard.
MasterCard is partnering with Stand Up to Cancer to host a concert with Jennifer Hudson Saturday on South Beach. New Era also has a party planned on South Beach.

Lil Jon will perform Saturday night at the Electric Run MLB All-Star 5K in downtown Miami.
Amine, Metro Boomin, Lenny Kravitz, Flo Rida, Don Omar and other artists will also take part in All-Star Week festivities.
Pitbull also performed in 2013 at the Home Run Derby at Citi Field in New York.
New York Yankees rookie Aaron Judge and Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton are the favorites to win the derby. Stanton won the 2016 Home Run Derby in San Diego.
Judge currently leads Major League Baseball with 30 home runs. He set the Yankees rookie record for home runs in a season on Friday, when he passed Joe DiMaggio's 29.
