New York Mets put pitcher Robert Gsellman on disabled list

The New York Mets placed right-hander Robert Gsellman on the 10-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring on Wednesday.

Infielder Matt Reynolds was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas to take the roster spot of Gsellman, who became the sixth Mets' starting pitcher to go on the disabled list this season.

Gsellman sustained his injury while attempting to leg out a ground ball in Tuesday's game against the Miami Marlins.

The 23-year-old Gsellman owns a 5-5 mark with a 6.16 ERA in 17 appearances (14 starts) this season.

Reynolds, 26, batted .185 with a solo homer in 23 games with the Mets this season.
