Detroit Tigers activate Ian Kinsler, will play against LA Angels

Detroit Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler was activated from the 10-day disabled list and will be in the starting lineup for Tuesday night's game against the Los Angles Angels.

Kinsler was sidelined with a hamstring injury. The Tigers optioned outfielder JaCoby Jones to Triple-A Toledo to open up the roster spot.

Kinsler, a four-time All-Star, is batting just .239 with four homers this season.

Jones is batting just .137 with one homer and 26 strikeouts in 57 plate appearances.

Also, catcher James McCann (hand) is slated to begin a rehab stint at Toledo on Tuesday.
