April 5 (UPI) -- Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig almost collided with a ballboy at Dodger Stadium.
The Dodgers were trailing the San Diego Padres 2-0 Tuesday in the third inning of the matchup when Padres outfielder Manuel Margot stepped to the plate and took a hack at an 0-1 offering from Kenta Maeda.
Margot flailed the hit toward the opposite field. The speedy Puig got a good jump on the ball and shot his 6-foot, 2-inch and 240-pound frame toward foul territory.
Puig just missed steamrolling a Dodgers ballboy who was standing and holding his chair with nowhere else to go. The right fielder still made the sensational catch for the first out in the inning.
The Dodgers lost the contest 4-0, as both teams moved to 1-1 on the young season. Puig had a forgettable night at the plate, going 0-for-3 and leaving one runner on base. The 2014 All-Star is 1-for-6, with a run scored, through two games.
