Kris Bryant belted his first home run of the spring, a grand slam in the fourth inning to power the Chicago Cubs to a 9-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Kyle Hendricks, who led the majors with a 2.13 ERA last season, threw 16 pitches over two innings in his first spring outing to earn the win.

The Cubs loaded the bases with two outs in the fourth. Jason Heyward drew a walk on four pitches to force in a run setting the stage for Bryant, whose line drive over the left-field fence put the Cubs up 7-2.

New York Yankees 11, Detroit Tigers 1

Gary Sanchez hit his second home run off Detroit pitching in the past week and New York routed the Tigers. Michael Pineda struck out five consecutive Tigers, four of them swinging, to complete two scoreless innings in his first spring start.

Chicago White Sox 10, Los Angeles Angels 2

Chicago almost pulled off one of the rarest of feats back-t0-back inside-the-park home runs in a four-run eighth inning. Peter Bourjos tripled and scored on an error by center fielder Michael Hermosillo. Eddy Alvarez followed with a true inside-the-parker on a fly ball to left field.

Philadelphia Phillies 7, Atlanta Braves 4

The Phillies scored six times in the seventh inning to pull away from the Braves. Philadelphia pitchers limited Atlanta to four hits including home runs by Christian Walker and Rio Ruiz. Drew Anderson earned the win with three innings of one-run ball.

Baltimore Orioles 1, Tampa Bay Rays 0

Logan Schafer drove in the game's only run on a ground out in the seventh inning to score Joey Rickard. Each team managed just four hits. Ubaldo Jimenez went three scoreless innings for the Orioles and Chris Archer went three innings and struck out five for the Rays.

Pittsburgh Pirates 3, Boston Red Sox 2

Pittsburgh strung together three singles and a walk for two runs in the second and three singles for another run in the third inning. The Pirates' bullpen made those three runs stand up. Wade LeBlanc earned his second win of the spring.

Miami Marlins 8, Atlanta Braves 6, SS

Miami scored four runs in the top of the first inning with Dee Gordon belting his first homer of the spring. A throwing error allowed Martin Prado to score and Miguel Rojas drove in two with a double to left field. The Braves scored five times in the seventh to make it close but Marlins' relievers Jarlin Garcia and Hunter Cervenka each pitched two scoreless innings to preserve the win.

St. Louis Cardinals 1, Washington Nationals 1

Patrick Wisdom hit a tying home run in the ninth inning for St. Louis in Jupiter, Fla. Grant Green's third-inning groundout drove in Washington's run. Cardinals starter Lance Lynn pitched four scoreless innings and Nationals starter Gio Gonzalez worked three scoreless innings.

Minnesota Twins 6, Toronto Blue Jays 2

Miguel Sano hit a two-run homer in the third inning and Drew Stubbs also drove in two runs to lead Minnesota past Toronto in Fort Myers, Fla. Twins starter Ervin Santana gave up five hits but no runs in three innings.

New York Mets 3, Houston Astros 1

Gavin Cecchini hit a two-run double in the seventh inning to help New York beat Houston in West Palm Beach, Fla. Lucas Duda added an RBI double for the Mets and Carlos Beltran's seventh-inning homer accounted for the Astros' run. Mets starter Jacob deGrom struck out three in two scoreless innings.

Chicago White Sox 10, Los Angeles Angels 2

Chicago's bats came alive for 16 hits against Los Angeles. Danny Hayes hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning and added an RBI single in the eighth for the White Sox. Eddie Alvarez had an inside-the-park homer in the eighth for Chicago, Jacob May had three hits and Kevin Smith added two hits and two RBIs. Michael Hermosillo drove in two runs for the Angels.

Kansas City Royals 2, San Francisco Giants 0

Lorenzo Cain belted a two-run homer in the fifth inning to lead Kansas City over San Francisco in Surprise, Ariz. Seven Royals pitchers combined for the shutout. Jason Hammel started and pitched two scoreless innings.

Milwaukee Brewers 7, Texas Rangers 1

Keon Broxton hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning to break a 1-1 tie and power Milwaukee over Texas in Phoenix. Delino DeShields had two hits for the Rangers.

Cleveland Indians 15, Oakland Athletics 5

Lonnie Chisenhall homered and drove in three runs, Erik Gonzalez had two hits and four RBIs and Abraham Almonte doubled in two runs in the first inning to carry Chicago over Oakland in Mesa, Ariz. Renato Nunez hit a two-run homer for Oakland in the sixth. The Indians rocked A's starter Sean Manaea for five hits and five runs (four earned) in 1 2/3 innings and Josh Smith gave up six hits and five runs in two-thirds of an inning.

Cincinnati Reds 9, Kansas City Royals 7

Cincinnati scored eight times in the eighth inning to rally past Kansas City in Goodyear, Ariz. Arismendy Alcantara hit a three-run homer in the eighth to help the Reds overcome a 7-1 deficit. Jess Winker had three hits and an RBI and Blake Trahan had two hits and two RBIs for Cincinnati. Samir Duenez and Jorge Bonifacio each drove in three runs for the Royals.

San Diego Padres 6, Arizona Diamondbacks 5

Jose Pirela and Collin Cowgill each drove in two runs to help San Diego defeat Arizona in Peoria, Ariz. Brandon Drury led the Diamondbacks with three hits. Arizona's Daniel Descalso added two hits and an RBI.

Seattle Mariners 4, Colorado Rockies 3

Zach Shank drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning to lift Seattle past Colorado in Maricopa County, Ariz. Ian Desmond accounted for two of the Rockies' runs with a homer in the fourth. Mike Zunino homered in the second for the Mariners.
