Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Outfielder Brandon Guyer avoided arbitration with the Cleveland Indians Wednesday, signing a two-year deal.

Guyer, 30, will make $5 million and have a club option in 2019, according to multiple sources. He is due $2 million in 2017 and $2.75 million in 2018. His 2019 option is worth $3 million.

Jon Heyman reported last week that Guyer was looking for $2.3 million, but was offered $1.9 million by the Indians on Friday.

Guyer hit .266 with nine home runs and 32 RBI in 101 games last season. The Indians picked him up in an August trade with the Tampa Bay Rays, in exchange for outfielder Nathan Lukes and pitcher Jhonleider Salinas.

Guyer owns a .262 career batting average, with 23 home runs and 90 RBI in 344 games.
