The Colorado Rockies signed free agent left-handed reliever Mike Dunn to a three-year contract on Thursday.

According to reports, Dunn will get a guaranteed $19 million and the contract also contains up to $1 million in games-finished incentives.

In the first year of the contract, Dunn will be paid $4 million and he gets a raise to $7 million for the final two years of the deal. The contract contains a club/vesting option for 2020 and Dunn gets a $1 million buyout if it not exercised, $6 million if the club option is picked up and $7 million is the vesting option is picked up.

Dunn spent the past five seasons as a key late-inning setup man for the Miami Marlins. Despite missing the first two months with a strained forearm, Dunn finished 6-1 with 3.40 ERA in 51 games last season.

On his Twitter account, he thanked the Marlins and their fans for the last six years and said: "We are ready to start the next chapter in our lives. Denver here we come."

Dunn began his major league career by appearing in four games for the Yankees in 2009. He was traded to Atlanta for Javier Vazquez and current Rockies free agent Boone Logan after the 2009 season, and spent one season with the Braves before dealt for Dan Uggla.
