The Marlins signed starting pitcher Edinson Volquez to a two-year, $22 million deal, according to the Miami Herald.

Volquez, 33, had a 5.37 ERA with 139 strikeouts in 189.1 innings last season for the Kansas City Royals.

The agreement is not complete until Volquez has a physical. The right-hander has won at least 10 games in each of the last three seasons. He was an All-Star selection in 2008 after winning 17 games for the Cincinnati Reds.
