CINCINNATI, May 18 (UPI) -- His big league debut came quickly, as he stood next to his childhood hero Ken Griffey Jr. in the Cincinnati outfield in 2008.
The home runs came even faster for Jay Bruce.

On Wednesday, Bruce became the All-Time leader in longballs hit at Great American Ball Park. His 127th home run in a Reds uniform bested former slugger Adam Dunn. Bruce's shot came in the fourth inning against the Cleveland Indians, when he hit a deep shot over the right field wall.

The Reds have dropped the first two games of the series to the visiting Indians before Wedensday's series finale.

Bruce, 29, has 215 career home runs. He is a career .248 hitter in nine seasons with the team. Bruce has seven home runs and 26 RBI this season.
