SEATTLE, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- The Kid is back.
Future Hall of Fame baseball player Ken Griffey Jr. went back to his roots, hair and all, for the sake of a Macklemore music video.
The rapper posted a picture of Griffey, 45, to his Facebook Thursday. In the photo, current Griffey mimics his rookie year look in a turtleneck, Seattle Mariners jersey and hat, and flowing locks. Griffey looks a little older in the photo, but his signature smile stayed the same.
Griffey's appearance happens at about 1:40 into the "Downtown" video. Griffey, who played 13 years for the Mariners, more than eight seasons with the Cincinnati Reds and a half of a season with the Chicago White Sox, hit 630 career home runs. Griffey 10 gold gloves and 13 All-Star selections in a 22-year career. He is eligible for the Hall of Fame in 2016.
Griffey will be joined on the 2016 ballot by pitchers Trevor Hoffman and Billy Wagner, catcher Jason Kendall, and others.
