In-Kyung Kim moves to No. 9 in Rolex Women's Golf Rankings after British Open win

In-Kyung Kim of South Korea parlayed her victory in the Ricoh Women's British Open into a spot among the top 10 in the Rolex Women's Golf Rankings released Monday.

Kim won her first major title on the LPGA Tour with a two-shot victory Sunday and vaulted 12 spots to No. 9, giving South Korea six players ranked among the top 10.

Kim's countrywoman, So Yeon Ryu, maintained the top spot in the rankings for the seventh consecutive week while American Lexi Thompson and Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn held steady at second and third, respectively.

The top five remained unchanged with South Korea's Sung Hyun Park at No. 4 and New Zealand's Lydia Ko, whose 84-week reign atop the rankings ending in June, was fifth.

Shanshan Feng of China moved up to No. 6, trading places with South Korea's In Gee Chun. Inbee Park moved up two slots to eighth while Kim and Amy Yang rounded the top 10. Canada's Brooke Henderson fell three slots to No. 12.

American Michelle Wie jumped into the top 30, climbing six spots to No. 29 after a tie for third place at the British Open. She set the course record with a sizzling 64 in Thursday's opening round at Kingsbarns Links in Scotland.
