LAST YEAR: Brooke Henderson of Canada captured her first LPGA Tour major at the age of 18, draining a 3-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole to defeat top-ranked Lydia Ko of New Zealand at Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash. Henderson, who became the youngest winner in 62-year history of the event, started the day two shots behind Ko, then closed with a bogey-free, 6-under-par 65 that was the low round of the tournament. Ko, who posted a bogey-free 67 while trying to win a third straight major, missed a 20-foot birdie putt on the final hole of regulation to force the playoff. Henderson, who made a hole-in-one in the first round and an eagle in the last, became the second-youngest winner of an LPGA major, behind Ko, who was five months younger when she captured to 2015 Evian Championship.
