June 22 (UPI) -- Tiger Woods is getting professional help to manage his medications and sleep disorder, but his design team revealed plans for a golf course project on Chicago's South Side.

TGR design joined the city, Chicago Park District and the Chicago Golf Alliance at the South Shore Cultural Center to unveil the plans Wednesday. It was the first public hearing, in a series of hearings, where the group will get feedback on the plan to merge the Jackson Park and South Shore golf courses, according to the Chicago Sun Times.

Merging the courses will cost about $30 million, according to the Sun Times. About $24 million of that will come from private donations.

The 7,354-yard course will include 13 holes from Jackson Park and five holes from the South Shore course. It plays as a par-70. The first hole on the course is a few hundred yards away from the planned Barack Obama Presidential Center library.

The golf course project is currently nameless. The Chicago Tribune noted that there are several issues associated with the project, including erosion on the lakefront, building expensive underpasses and raising enough money so that greens fees are affordable for locals.

"We believe in catering the golf experience to a wide swath of people — juniors, elderly, avid players, not-so-avid players," TGR senior design consultant Beau Welling said at the meeting, according to the Tribune. "One of Tiger's tenets is playability. How can we bring more people out to the golf course and allow them to have fun?"

The course includes views of Lake Michigan and Jackson Park Harbor. There will be six holes for beginners, children and the elderly.

"TGR is my chapter two—my way of building a legacy that's about more than birdies and bogies," Woods said on his official website.

TGR's current courses include Bluejack National, El Cardonal at Diamante, The Oasis Short Course, Jack's Bay, Payne's Valley, The Oasis at Diamante, Trump World Golf Club Dubai, Pacific Links National Golf Club and the Jupiter Island Practice Facility.

Chicago's historic Jackson Park and South Shore course is on the same land as the site of the 1893 World's Fair. The firm is aiming to attract the BMW Championship and open in 2020.
