DUBLIN, Ohio -- If you thought a restless night was in store for Jason Dufner, think again. Dufner, known for his serene demeanor, continued his assault on Muirfield Village Golf Club during the second round of the Memorial Tournament Friday morning with a second consecutive 7-under 65.

If the lead holds up in the afternoon, Dufner will be the sole owner of the Memorial's 36-hole scoring record at 14-under 130.
David Lingmerth, who shared the first-round lead with Dufner, walked to the first tee Friday afternoon and trailed by seven strokes.
Dufner's bogey-free round was highlighted by an eagle at the par-4 18th, his ninth hole of the day. His second shot, from 175 yards away in the center of the fairway, landed past the pin and spun back into the hole, drawing a hearty roar from the gallery.
Dufner's scorecard included five birdies and an eagle.
Rickie Fowler began the day tied for 13th at 2 under and also had a bogey-free round, shooting a 66, which included three straight birdies at Nos. 6, 7 and 8. Fowler is six shots back of Dufner.
The biggest mover in the morning wave was Adam Scott, who fired a 66 to jump 60 spots, from tied for 82nd to tied for 22nd. Scott bogeyed his first hole, No. 10, before carding nine pars, six birdies, an eagle, and a bogey over the final 17 holes.
Muirfield Village member Jason Day (71) is 2 over after 36 holes, hovering around the cut line. His best finish at his adopted home event is tied for 27th. He has missed the cut three times.
Joining Lingmerth in the afternoon tee times was Jordan Spieth, Daniel Summerhays and Justin Thomas.
