NEW YORK, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Many spectators spotted Tiger Woods in the stands of the U.S. Open this weekend. Not everyone caught the golf star snapping a selfie with actor Christopher McDonald.

Woods, who was attending the Flushing Meadows, N.Y., event with his daughter, Sam, took some time off to get the photo with the Happy Gilmore cast member.

The @ShooterMcGavin_ Twitter account posted the picture Tuesday with the caption: "two golf legends catching up with each other at the U.S. Open the other day @TigerWoods"

Tiger and his daughter watched the third-round match between Fabio Fognini and Rafael Nadal. Nadal lost the match in five sets.

Woods will golf next in October's Fryc.com Open.
