Michigan LB Devin Bush signs with Drew Rosenhaus ahead of NFL Draft

Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Former Michigan Wolverines standout linebacker Devin Bush signed with Rosenhaus Sports after announcing he will skip the Peach Bowl and enter the 2019 NFL Draft.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus posted a photo with the junior linebacker on social media Thursday, confirming the new partnership as Bush prepares for the upcoming draft process.

Rosenhaus represents a number of high-profile athletes, including Pittsburgh Steelers star receiver Antonio Brown, Kansas City Chiefs wideout Tyreek Hill, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy, and many others.

Bush's decision to sign with Rosenhaus comes on the heels of being unable to play in the upcoming Peach Bowl against the Florida Gators on Dec. 29. He was not medically cleared to participate by the Michigan medical staff after sustaining a hip injury against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Nov. 24.

"Despite getting treatment every day, I have not been cleared to practice or play in the Peach Bowl due to the hip injury I suffered in the last game," Bush said in a statement on Wednesday. "Due to this injury, I have thought hard about my future in football. Having been injured I realize how fleeting this sport can be. It has always been a dream of mine to follow in my father's footsteps and play in the NFL. This injury has made me realize how important this goal is to me and my family. Therefore I have decided to forgo my senior season and enter the 2019 NFL Draft."

Bush finished his final season at Michigan as a consensus All-American and was honored as Linebacker and Defensive Player of the Year in the Big Ten Conference. The 5-foot-11, 233-pound linebacker compiled 80 total tackles (38 solo), five sacks and six passes defensed this season.

He rounded out his three-year collegiate career with 194 total tackles (82 solo), 10 sacks, one interception and 15 passes defensed.

Bush is considered to be one of the best linebackers in the upcoming draft and is projected to be a first-round selection.
