Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer subdued doubts regarding his future at the school by uttering a short response to a question during his Monday press conference.

"I plan to coach," Meyer said to reporters.

Meyer's response comes on the heels of multiple media reports last week that said this season could potentially be the last for Meyer in Columbus due to health concerns.

Meyer was pressed again on Monday about the current status of his health and he repeatedly responded by saying, "I'm good."

The head coach took over before the 2012 season at Ohio State, but has had health troubles that have led to increased speculation about his coaching future.

At the end of October, Meyer revealed he has a history of headaches and had brain surgery to correct the issue. He has an arachnoid cyst that has been near his brain throughout his life.

Meyer underwent surgery in 2014 to remove fluid and reduce pressure on his brain. He had two holes drilled into his head during the procedure, but the headache issues remained. He is managing the pain through medication while being under close supervision of doctors.

"I am fully committed to Ohio State and the football program for as long as I can, as long as my health allows," Meyer told the Cleveland Plain-Dealer last month.

The Buckeyes are coming off a 62-39 victory against Michigan on Saturday to clinch a berth in the Big Ten Championship Game.

Meyer and Ohio State play Northwestern on Saturday night in Indianapolis in the championship contest. A victory will put OSU in the Rose Bowl, unless the Buckeyes find a way into the top four of the College Football Playoff.
