Bellamy's Bulldogs escaped the College Football Playoff semifinal matchup with a 54-38 victory. The win came after Lorenzo Carter blocked a Sooners field goal attempt in double overtime.
Bellamy was doing a postgame interview with Fox 5 Atlanta after the game.
"We don't care about none of that," Bellamy said to start the interview. "None of that. Humble yourself. Humble yourself. Humble yourself."
"They came out hot. We made a lot of mistakes on defense. That wasn't us. Even though we were down, we knew that we had taken their best shot. But we knew that they hadn't gotten ours. In the second half, we figured all that out and stopped all of that. We're not worried about none of that Heisman talk. You gotta come play football with the big boys."

Alternative views of the interview featured Mayfield walking by Bellamy during the question session, as the linebacker looked toward him.
Bellamy elaborated on his comments in an interview with ESPN.
"All I'm saying is humble yourself," Bellamy told ESPN. "All the flamboyancy...I carry myself the same way, but humble yourself, man."
"Our wide receivers came back and told us that they were running their routes before we went out there and he was on their line. Just humble yourself, man, just humble yourself. You're not built like that."
Bellamy had two tackles in the win. Mayfield completed 23-of-35 passes for 287 yards, two scores and one interception. He also caught a two-yard touchdown.
